"I read this book on Kindle Unlimited and this is my first book by this author. I believe this is the first book this author has written.

First off this is a DARK romance and Michael is the devil and not the romantic interest. This story is not your typical dark romance because the author actually goes there in describing the brutal torture that the leading lady Giselle has to suffer and endure. There is no actual rape scene described but of course this is implied because Giselle is being held against her will. However, there is abuse and mistreatment and if you have triggers in these areas you will need to be careful when reading this book.

I found the book very engaging, the author does not waste words, the action is fast moving. I thought it was a great dark story and I would read this author again."

"I can't put into words the way I feel about this book. I have never read a book like this, & I have been reading for years. This book was like a breath of fresh air. I won't give anything away but I loved everything about this book. Drew is officially my new book boo. Im happy Giselle finally got her happily ever after. I have been waiting for Amber & Michelangelo to get hit by a bus since the beginning, karma is dish best served cold. Its a must read!!!! I so can't wait for future work from this author..."

Excerpt

My heart was pounding against my chest as I continue to run through the woods. I could hear their footsteps behind me. I picked up speed trying to dodge as many trees as possible.

"Go this way! Cut her off!!!" One of the many men yelled that is chasing me. I turned to my right and continue to run. I couldn't get caught. If I did I am screwed. I know I shouldn't have ran but I didn't want to be there. I never really did. I was forced to stay there. There are so many rules there and women had no rights. One of the rules that I am clearly breaking is do not try to escape. You get one warning for running the first time, the second time you try to run you don't get fed for a week, the third you get punished severely. I am on my third attempt and I know if I get caught I am so dead. I know you guys are probably thinking why run when you are on your last attempt, well because I couldn't take staying there longer. I am beaten continuously and starved and most of the time I didn't do anything to deserve. That what happens when you are favored by the Head Master. Yes I said head master. I will get into that later cause as of right now I am still running and running out of breath. My lungs are screaming for oxygen along with my muscles. They are tightening up making me feel numb. I know I will have to stop soon because I am on the verge of passing out.

"You can do it. Don't stop now." I said to myself as I continued to run. After 2 minutes my legs gave out and I fell. I quickly crawled and hid behind a tree breathing heavily trying to catch my breath. Once my breathing quiet down, I remained silent so I could listen to my surroundings. It was silent. The only thing that could be heard was the birds chirping. I stood up slowly and looked around seeing nothing but trees. Once the coast was clear I started running again looking behind me. That wasn't the best idea because I bumped into a hard chest. Arms immediately wrapped themselves around me. I struggled against the person and then kicked. They released me and fell to the ground. I backed away from the person and saw that it was one of the Head Master's trackers. I was just about to turn around and make a run for it but was caught again. The person put their arms around me squeezing the life out of me. I screamed and fought against the person. "Let me go!!!!" I shouted. The rest of the Head Master's trackers surrounded me coming from behind trees. I continued to struggle trying to break free. I couldn't go back. I knew I was good as dead when I got back. Head Master is going to kill me. "Please let me go!!!!"

"Tie her legs!" Drew, Head Master's head tracker. I recognized his voice. The others grabbed my legs and started to tie me up.

"Drew please!" I begged praying he wouldn't take me back.

"SHUTUP Giselle!!!" He shouted jerking me roughly. "Let's head back."

"No please!!! Please don't take me back!!!! No please!!!!" I cried hysterically. I couldn't go back. I can't. "Drew please!!! He'll kill me!! He'll kill me!!!! Please don't take me back!!!"

"You should have thought about that before you ran. You knew you weren't suppose to run. Now you have to deal with the consequences."

"Please don't take me back!!! Please don't take me back!!!!!" I started to struggle more.

"Knock her out."

"No, please no. Please don't take me back!!! Please!!!" I felt a small pinch on my arm and soon after I felt the effects of the drug. My struggle ceased and my vision blurred.

"She's out. Let's go."
